Shipping policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This policy explains delivery for purchases from Disc Avenue. It should be read with our Terms of service and Refund policy. For order or delivery help, email sales@discavenue.com.au.
1. Delivery areas and shipping charges
We deliver to eligible addresses within Australia. Available services depend on your destination and order. The options and total shipping charge are shown before you complete checkout.
| Service | Charge (AUD) |
|---|---|
| Australia Post Parcel Post | $10.95 |
| Australia Post Express Post | $14.95 |
Any special restriction or separately quoted charge will be disclosed before purchase. We will not add a surcharge to an accepted order without your agreement. Changes to our rates apply to future orders.
2. Processing and delivery times
We prepare orders as promptly as reasonably possible after payment is successfully received or authorised. Processing time is separate from the carrier's transit time unless an overall arrival estimate is stated. Business days for our processing are Monday to Friday, excluding Queensland public holidays.
Delivery estimates depend on the destination and selected service. Unless we expressly agree to a particular date, dates are estimates, while our obligation to supply within an agreed or reasonable timeframe remains. Contact us before ordering if you need an item for a particular date.
Express Post is the service used after dispatch. It does not automatically mean same-day dispatch or next-business-day delivery to every address. We will contact you about any significant delay or if the purchased service cannot be provided, including any appropriate adjustment or refund.
3. Packaging, tracking and split orders
We pack discs and cases for transport. Where tracking is available, the details will be sent when shipment is arranged or dispatched. A created shipping label does not necessarily mean the carrier has received the parcel.
If an order needs more than one parcel, we will provide available shipment information. Splitting an order will not itself increase the delivery charge you agreed to pay. Contact us if tracking stops progressing or only part of an order arrives.
4. Addresses, missed deliveries and collection
Check your recipient name, address, postcode and delivery instructions before ordering. Contact us promptly to request a correction. Redirection may not be possible after dispatch. We will explain any reasonable actual additional cost before arranging it; you will not be charged to correct our error.
Some services may require a signature or collection from a postal outlet. Follow the carrier's collection instructions. If a parcel is returned because of incorrect details you supplied or a failure to collect it, we will discuss redelivery and any lawful, reasonable additional cost. This does not automatically mean you lose the whole payment and does not apply to failures by us or our delivery provider.
5. Authority to leave and delivery responsibility
Where you expressly authorise a parcel to be left unattended, choose a secure location. The carrier must follow the agreed instructions with appropriate care.
For delivery arranged by us, responsibility for accidental loss or damage passes when the goods are delivered to you, your authorised recipient, or properly left under your authority to leave. It does not transfer simply when we hand the parcel to the carrier. Authority to leave does not excuse incorrect delivery or a failure to exercise appropriate care.
6. Late, lost, damaged or incorrect deliveries
Contact us if an order is overdue, marked delivered but missing, damaged, incomplete or incorrect. Provide your order number and tracking details if available. Photos and packaging can help an investigation, but are not mandatory conditions that remove your legal rights.
We will investigate with the delivery provider and arrange an appropriate solution, including replacement or refund where required. You do not have to resolve the issue with our carrier yourself. A reasonable investigation must not delay a legal remedy unreasonably or make it depend solely on a carrier compensation claim.
We cover reasonable costs needed to correct our error or damage for which we are responsible. If we cannot supply an order, we will arrange a lawful solution and refund payment for cancelled goods and associated delivery charges where applicable. We do not require you to accept store credit.
7. Returns
Contact us within 30 days of delivery for a change-of-mind return. You pay return postage, and original delivery charges are not refundable for change-of-mind returns unless we agree otherwise. The item must meet the conditions in our Refund policy. Ask us for return instructions before posting.
Different cost rules apply to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods, and the 30-day change-of-mind period does not limit statutory claims. Nothing in this policy removes non-excludable rights under Australian law. Policy updates do not retrospectively change an existing order.
